Workplace Assessments (including DSE)
A key aspect of providing quality Occupational health advice depends on understanding the workplace environment, work processes and hazards and the possible effect these can have on an individual's health and wellbeing. There are considerable benefits from the Occupational health professional having opportunity to visit the workplace periodically and particularly for specific workplace assessments with individuals.
Workplace assessments that we offer include:
DSE assessments are required for computer users under the Health and Safety (DSE) Regulations 1992 (amended in 2002). This can be routine DSE assessments to prevent problems. Sometimes a more comprehensive workstation ergonomic assessment is needed when a person is reporting work-related symptoms such as back/wrist pain, vision problems or has a health condition or disability.
Other workplace assessments offered could be in relation to machine operator/workstation assessments, pregnancy risk assessments, driver/vehicle ergonomic assessments, or return to work assessments.
